post-icon-youtubeIn part 6, we saw that the YouTube ranking of the video jumped way up to around the 20th position and the video remained out of the top 500 within Google for the main keyword. I wanted to test to see if a backlinks submission of the GSA SER verified links to Express Indexer would have any impact on the YouTube and  Google rankings. We had 489,059 verified links from GSA SER backlinking and we filtered down that list to 107,651 verified links, which had a Domain Authority of at least 35. These links were submitted around 2 weeks ago. In this part, we are going to see the effect of the Express Indexer submission on both the YouTube and Google rankings. We are going to start by ramping things up a bit and start working on the views, likes, and shares of the YouTube video to see how these metrics effect the rankings.

Fiverr Views, Likes, Shares Submission

It’s safe to say that every search engine has a different ranking algorithm and each algorithm is made up of multiple variables and factors. Generally, most people have focused on back-linking over the years, but algorithms are more complex now and take a lot of other factors into consideration. When it comes to YouTube videos (and possibly other video services), it is known that the other variables in play are views, likes, social shares, etc. With that being said, since we started the case study with GSA SER backlinking, we are going to move onto these other factors now. To save time and keep things simple, I’m going to head over to Fiverr and choose a gig to boost the views, likes, and shares of the video.

I found what seems to be a decent gig for $5 and submitted the video URL. The gig is promising 5000 views, 100 likes, and 15 shares.

Stats Check

Google & YouTube Rank

We saw the video peak at #19 for YouTube on May 12th. And for our last check on May 15th, the video was at #24. It remained out of the Google ranks. Since then, we submitted the backlinks to Express Indexer. A couple days later, it dropped to #56 and has lingered around 40-50 since then.

Analysis

Since the GSA SER verified backlinks submission to Express Indexer (over a 2 weeks), the YouTube ranking of the video saw a small dip from the 20s to the 40s. There is not enough information to conclude that the submission had any negative impact on the YouTube rankings. More importantly, we see that the link indexing submission did not lead to a visible ranking in Google (yet). With that being said, we are going to see if the Fiverr boost will have any effects on both the YouTube and Google rankings. We will check on it in around 4 days.
